On My Own Card Game
This card game was developed for University of Tennessee’s On My Own program. The purpose of this card game is to simulate expenses encountered through life to help prepare graduates for upcoming challenges. The game is divided into 4 sections: Curveballs, Debt, Discounts, and Mall cards. Curveballs are unexpected expenses such as a tree falling on your car. Debt may include student loans, car loans, or credit card bills. Discounts reward smart shopping behavior. Lastly, Mall cards include necessity purchases such as clothes for your children or food for your pet.
Illustrated card backs were created for each section of cards to quickly differentiate the card piles. Spot illustrations were created for scenarios to keep the game engaging and fun!
